If your security system is elaborate enough to include motion sensors, then you could be making life harder for yourself if you plan on keeping your rooms nice and warm. The reason for this comes down to the physics of how this entire creation works since these sensors are activated because of the presence of body heat.
Of course, the problem comes when your walls or floor are too hot because while the camera will not exactly switch on just because of your walls or floor being there, it does use them as a reference temperature. If they are too warm, then when an individual enters a room, the sensor will be unable to pick up the difference and it will, therefore, remain off.
So, if you are planning on going out or on vacation, remember to avoid turning off your air-con or putting your heating up too high or you could come back to a rather nasty surprise that you were just not expecting.
