If you take some time to study the bottom of a pizza, and who has never done that before, then you will notice that there are some indents across the base. Now, if you thought that this was due to some part of the manufacturing process or is done for the sake of some design feature, then you would be wrong on both counts.
Instead, those small indents are there for a very important reason, which is that they are intended to stop air bubbles from appearing in the dough which would then lead to your pizza just not coming up to the standards that you would expect. Actually, if air bubbles appeared during the cooking process, then it would be ruined beyond any comprehension.
So, just be grateful that they are there simply because you would hate it if they weren’t.
