A snake is often quite terrifying for most people, but what do you think is the largest snake that has ever been recovered? The answer to this question is not as easy as it seems, but then we are also cheating slightly with the answer because we have to go back to the time of the dinosaurs and roughly 65 million years ago.
When we do this, we come across a snake that has been called Titanoboa, and it is easy to understand why when you check out its vital statistics. It has been shown via fossils that this snake would have been roughly 48 feet long and it weighed a staggering 2,500lbs. That is substantially bigger than anything that is around today. You can only imagine how scary it would have been to come across this snake if you were unfortunate enough to do so.
