Taking a selfie is now a common event, but are you aware of just how dangerous it can be? It turns out that taking a selfie causes more deaths per year than sharks, and who would have ever thought that this could be the case?
In 2015, there were a reported 8 deaths around the world from shark attacks, and yet a staggering 49 deaths from people taking selfies. The majority of them were in India and then Russia and it has all been connected to people trying to push the boundaries when it comes to the locations where they are taking the selfie. This has led to most of the deaths happening as a result of people falling to their death although there were also four deaths related to gunshots which is even more bizarre that you would even think about taking a selfie under those conditions.
So, if you are ever thinking about whether or not you should take a selfie, just stop and ask yourself what a shark would do in the same situation in order to get your answer.
