If you get bitten by mosquitos a lot, it might be more than just chance. Studies have been done to see what mosquitos are attracted to, and it turns out that mosquitos bite people with Type O blood almost twice as much as they bite people with Type A and B blood. Exercise plays a factor, too. Those who exercise more often generally have a higher buildup of lactic acid and heat in their body, which attracts insects.
Another factor, believe it or not, is suggested to be beer intake. A study has found that insects are more likely to be attracted to you after drinking a bottle of beer, but scientists aren’t quite sure why. If you’re pregnant, watch out… mosquitos are twice as likely to bite a woman if she’s pregnant. If you have O blood, work out a lot, and drink beer or are pregnant, make sure to bring the bug spray next time you’re outside.
