A kind of running joke is that you don’t only need brains and intelligence to be a doctor, but you also need to be horrific at handwriting. However, it may be more of a problem than you are perhaps aware.
According to statistics, it is believed that poor handwriting of doctors results in the death of approximately 7,000 people in the United States each year. That in itself is crazy, and it makes you wonder about the way in which they end up dying. Wrong medication, the wrong amounts, not getting the correct treatment, and all because a doctor seems to have a natural habit of being unable to write in a style that is able to be read by anybody else.
Perhaps the next time you go to the doctor you should ask for them to type it out, just to be on the safe side.
