We humans are generally not that good at holding our breath, and we are certainly nowhere near as good as some of our animal world relatives. Take the Nile crocodile as a prime example. They are not only experts at catching their prey, but it seems that they have a huge amount of patience at the same time.
It is known that this form of crocodile has the ability to sit underneath the surface of the water and hold its breath for two hours at a time while it is waiting for its prey. That is seriously impressive, and it just makes you think about what is indeed lurking beneath the water should you ever find yourself looking at the Nile. Other crocodiles are just as good, so even if it looks all peaceful on the surface, it may be a completely different story underneath.
